Book Tour: King Stud (O'Connor Family Novel Book 1) by @LivRancourt #Contemporary #Romance @EvernightPub

Danielle’s got three months to make her Grandmother’s rundown Craftsman house livable. Her game plan is to get in, get grubby, and get back home to L.A. She needs a carpenter, and her best friend’s younger brother is a good one. It’s hard to ignore the buffed body under Ryan’s paint-splattered sweatshirts, but her friend declares he’s off-limits so Danielle reluctantly agrees.

Ryan doesn’t have the cleanest record, anyway. His recently ex-ed girlfriend wants him back, and he has a reputation for brawling. He’s also had a crush on Danielle since he was a kid. Despite their nine-year age difference, he knows she’s worth pursuing.

Soon the paint under Danielle’s fingernails starts feeling more natural than the L.A. sunshine. She’ll have to navigate plumbing disasters, money problems, and one seriously cranky best friend to find something she hasn’t had before: a real home, and a man who loves her.

Name: Ryan O’Connor
Gender: male
Age: 24
Profession: carpenter
Do you have any special skills or training?
I mostly learned on the job. I did a Community College program for builders, but it was really the guy who hired me coming out of school who taught me what I needed to know.
How would you describe yourself?
I work hard and I’m pretty easy-going, as long as nobody messes with me. Then I can have a temper. Generally, though, I’d rather crack a joke and walk away than get into it with someone.
Who is your significant other(s)?
Dani Jacobsen – well, she goes by Danielle now, but I’ve had a crush on her since I was a kid and she’s always been Dani to me. She’s my older sister’s best friend, which was kind of weird when we first hooked up. Dani freaked out because she’s nine years older than me, and Maeve – my sister – gave us all kinds of shit. It’s all okay now, though.
How would they describe you?
I think she’d say I’m like her foundation. *blushes* She works in a neonatal ICU, really high-tech stuff, and most of her coworkers are under a lot of stress. I help her laugh and make her relax, and I’m teaching her how to do stuff with her hands. (Not that kind of stuff. She was good with that already.)
Tell us about your family.
My family…wow. They’re a handful. I’ve got three brothers – Joey, Eamon, and Niall – and a sister named Maeve. We all went to Catholic schools and Joey even graduated from Notre Dame. Sitting down to the dinner table with all of us is just about as loud as you’d expect. Niall’s a cop, Eamon’s a scientist of some kind, Joey’s not sure who he is, and Maeve’s a princess. Our parents are the best and I love them all….when I don’t want to kill them.
What do you think was left unsettled in your story?
Dani doesn’t know this yet, but I’m going to propose to her as soon as I have enough money saved to buy the right kind of ring.
If you could change anything about your story what would it be?
More sex. Ha! No, seriously, I think I’d waste less time messing around with my ex. I mean, we weren’t having sex or anything, but Cherry has a serious drinking problem, and after ten years it was hard to shake the habit of taking care of her. So yeah, I think things would have been easier on Dani if I had stood my ground with Cherry.

I write romance: m/f, m/m, and v/h, where the h is for human and the v is for vampire … or sometimes demon … I lean more towards funny than angst. When I’m not writing I take care of tiny premature babies or teenagers, depending on whether I’m at home or at work. My husband is a soul of patience, my dog’s cuteness is legendary, and we share the homestead with three ferrets. Who steal things. Because they’re brats.
